We believe in change
The Centre officially opened its doors to the Community operating from its current premises (St Bartholomew Church) in Daveyton in February 2010. We serve nutritious meals to over 300 underprivileged children in Daveyton, primarily within Basothong section, Gabon squatter camp and Chris Hani informal settlement. We also assist with their homework, numeracy and literacy skills.
The Centre has since evolved from primarily focusing on children to serving the Daveyton Community at large by providing the following services:
Psychological Support
Skills Development
Educational Programmes
Prevention and Awareness Programmes
Referrals to other stakeholders i.e. SASSA, Home Affairs etc.
There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.
